Traveling to Dharamsala
Dharamsala Airport, also known as Kangra Airport, is located just over 10 km from the center of Dharamsala and currently handles regular flights from Delhi. Those looking to book flights from the UAE to Dharamsala won’t find any direct flights available, but you can conveniently catch direct flights from the UAE to Delhi before transferring and continuing your journey to Dharamsala.
Dharamsala Airport is a very small domestic airport offering very little in terms of facilities and services, so you are best bringing all the essentials you would need with you to the airport. The airport itself is housed within a single passenger terminal which is capable of handling up to 100 passengers. Once you have landed at the airport, you can catch a taxi just outside of the terminal to reach your destination directly, or you can arrange for a private transfer before your flight if you would prefer.

Dharamsala is located in the north of India, within the state of Himachal Pradesh, and is best known for being the residence of the Dalai Lama and its strong links to Tibetan Buddhism. Most travelers within the city spend their time in the Upper Dharamsala area which is the home of most of the important attractions and landmarks in the city.
