Arriving In Faroe Islands
The sole airport in the Faroe Islands is Vagar Airport which is located just 2 km from Sorvagur. The airport primarily handles regional flights as well as seasonal flights from European destinations, so UAE-based travelers will not be able to find any direct flights from the UAE to Faroe Islands. However, the airport does have regular connections from Copenhagen which would enable UAE travelers to make the trip with only one transfer.
Vagar Airport itself is fairly small and is housed within a single terminal complex, offering a small range of amenities and facilities for travelers. There are a couple of cafés and eateries available where you can enjoy a meal before your flight, while you can also enjoy duty-free shopping during your stay. When you have touched down at the airport, there is a bus service available which can take you around the region if you would rather not pay for a taxi.
