Arriving In Malta
Malta International Airport is situated just 5 km away from the capital of Malta and is set within a single passenger terminal. It is the only airport in Malta and does not handle any direct flights from the UAE, so you will need to make a stopover somewhere if you are traveling from the UAE. The airport has plenty of connections to leading destinations around Europe which do handle direct flights from the UAE, so you can conveniently make the journey with only a single stopover.
When you have touched down at the airport there are plenty of bus services available which can take you around Malta, although you may prefer to hop in a taxi instead. The country itself is served by a decent network of public buses which can make it easy to get around, while you will find plenty of car rental agencies at Malta airport if you would rather have your own vehicle. Inside the airport you will find a decent range of amenities including a few places to eat and drink, duty-free and retail shopping alongside additional luxuries such as children’s play areas, a couple of airport lounges and free Wi-Fi.
