Arriving In Skopje

Skopje Airport is the main airport in Macedonia situated less than 20 km away from Skopje. Travelers looking to book flights from the UAE to Skopje will be able to make the journey directly out of Dubai. It is currently possible to make the journey from Dubai to Skopje with flydubai (flydubai baggage allowance and fares explained), with all flights based out of Dubai International Airport, the main airport serving Dubai.

When you have landed at the airport there are buses available which can take you into the city if you don’t want to pay for a private taxi. Inside the airport itself you’ll find a decent range of services and facilities to meet your needs. UAE nationals traveling to Macedonia are entitled to enter the country visa free for up to 90 days. In Skopje the weather can be warm and sunny over the summer with average highs of over 30 degrees, although make sure you pack warm clothing with you if you visit over the winter as there can be snowfall and freezing temperatures at times. Macedonia is not yet a member of the European Union and does not use the euro as its currency, so you will need to change up your money to the Macedonian denar.
