Airport Information - Arriving

Domodedovo International Airport is the second busiest airport in Moscow located just over 40 km from the city. Once your flight has landed at the airport, the quickest way to travel into the center of Moscow is on the Aeroexpress train, although other alternatives are available including local buses and trains as well as taxis. The airport provides travelers with all of the amenities and facilities you would need including shops, cafés and eateries, while you can also benefit from free Wi-Fi during your stay at the airport.

Sheremetyevo International Airport is located 30 km outside of the Russian capital and is comprised of four passenger terminals. The airport is also linked to the Aeroexpress train so you can swiftly journey into the center of Moscow. The airport offers a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafés so you’re sure to find something to do to pass the time.

If you plan to travel further afield you could consider renting a car in Moscow.

Airport Information - Departing

Birmingham Airport is the English city's main airport primarily operating regional flights around Europe. The airport itself is made up of two passenger terminals and offers plenty of things to do during your stay. If you don’t want to take a taxi to the airport then you can travel from central Birmingham by bus or rail. As well as an extensive choice of shops, cafés and eateries, the airport provides travelers with free Wi-Fi and is home to the Sky Zone children’s play area which is ideal for families with kids. If you find that you have arrived at the wrong terminal, both terminals are connected so you can easily transfer on foot if you have to.

While summers in Moscow can be surprisingly warm with average highs in the low 20s, expect freezing temperatures over the winter and snowfall on most days. There are plenty of hotels in Moscow catering for every budget. Most people traveling to Russia including UK and UAE nationals will be required to arrange a visa before making the trip. Be aware that Moscow is two hours ahead of Birmingham so remember to change your clocks to local time once you have arrived.
