Airport Information - Arriving

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is China’s third busiest airport situated around 38km (24 miles) from the city of Guangzhou. The airport is set within a single terminal complex that is separated into three areas - Main Terminal, Area A and Area B. At the airport you can find all of the amenities and services you would need for a pleasant stay. There is a large selection of shops available at the airport including duty free shops, designer brands and miscellaneous shops to get your travel essentials, while you will also be able to enjoy a variety of restaurants and other eateries. Once you have landed at the airport you can use the Metro Line 3 or Airport Express buses to reach central Guangzhou in around 50 minutes.

Airport Information - Departing

Beijing Capital International Airport is the primary airport serving Beijing and is comprised of three passenger terminals. The quick way to reach the airport from central Beijing is on the Airport Express train network which can get you to the airport in around 30 minutes. All of the amenities and facilities you would expect of a large airport can be found including a comprehensive selection of shops and various places to enjoy a meal or a drink, so you won’t be short on things to do whilst waiting to board your flight.

Beijing Nanyuan Airport, Beijing’s second airport, is due to be replaced by the new Beijing Daxing International Airport once construction is complete. The airport is fairly large and offers everything you would need whether it’s places to enjoy a meal or a snack or shops to pick up some last-minute travel essentials.

What to Expect in Guangzhou

In Guangzhou the weather stays warm for most of the year other than over the winter period. Be advised that the city experiences a rainy season commencing in April and ending in September. You won’t need a visa when traveling between Beijing and Guangzhou as it is a domestic route, but don’t forget to bring all your travel documents including your passport along.
