Airport Information - Departing

Basra International Airport is the second busiest airport in Iraq located around 15km (9 miles) outside of the city of Basra. When you have arrived at the airport there are only a small number of places to eat and shop available so it may be best to bring everything you need with you before traveling to the airport. The most convenient way for you to reach the airport is by taxi, especially if you are unfamiliar with local bus routes.
