The airport was recently expanded and renovated to boost its capacity and also improve its amenities and facilities. Everything you would need for a pleasant stay can be found at Phuket International Airport including duty free shopping and a selection of souvenir and travel shops. Additionally, the airport also has a restaurant on the third floor as well as many cafes to enjoy a drink or a snack. Once you have landed there is an airport bus that goes to Phuket bus terminal, or you can just as easily hop in a metered taxi or arrange private transportation.

Airport Information - Departing

Dubai International Airport is the main airport serving Dubai handling over 80 million travelers a year. The airport is renowned for its wide selection of amenities which includes extensive shopping opportunities such as duty free goods and the latest designer brands. You can also choose between a wide range of places to eat and drink whether it’s a simple snack at a café or a gourmet meal at a high-end restaurant. Comprised of three passenger terminals, it is easy to get around the airport as Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are part of the Dubai Metro, while Terminal 2 is linked to the rest of the airport by a free shuttle bus service.

What to Expect in Phuket

Nationals from many countries including the UAE are permitted to enter the country without a visa for up to 30 days, and it is fairly straightforward to extend your stay at an immigration office. Phuket stays hot all year round, although be advised that there is a long rainy season between April and November. Phuket is three hours ahead of Dubai so be sure to put your clocks forward once you land.
