We’re honored to have been part of such a special birthday surprise — and reading how every detail, from the views to the green juice to your late-night returns, became part of an unforgettable stay, fills us with joy.
Your words reflect everything we aim to offer at Rubi Tulum: a peaceful escape in nature, with thoughtful touches of comfort and care. We’re especially glad you enjoyed exploring the area by ATV — it really is the best way to feel the freedom of Tulum!
You’ll always have a home here whenever your heart calls you back. ✨

Scam of the century
We got in during the evening to find a completely abandoned hotel with two workers there saying it was closed in the fall. What kind of horrendous business owner allows this to happen? I would love to speak directly with them but they also disconnected their phones. Absolutely despicable. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give 6 stars, I would, Rubi Tulum is a hidden GEM!
The staff? Incredible. Warm, kind, present, and truly caring. You’re not just another guest here, you’re part of a family. From the front desk to the restaurant, the vibe is all love, intention, and authenticity. The receptionist goes above and beyond, acting like your personal concierge, booking tours, offering local tips, giving real advice. Don’t know what to do for the day? Just ask, and you’ll get personalized recommendations that beat any guidebook.
The Restaurant? A culinary blessing.
The service is five-star, and the food is even better. You have to try the vegan açaí bowl in the morning, fresh, colorful, and full of flavor. The ceviche is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, and the margaritas? Dangerously delicious. I don’t say this lightly, you will never want a margarita anywhere else again, period.
Now, let’s talk location, because people seem to complain about it without doing any research. Yes, this is NOT the USA. And thank God for that. Rubi Tulum is a sanctuary immersed in nature, and it’s perfectly located if you understand Tulum’s layout. The beach? 10 minutes. The best restaurants in town? 10 minutes. Downtown? 15 minutes. Cenotes? 20 minutes max. How is that “nothing around”?
The truth is, people today want a resort that delivers “everything in five minutes” like it’s a suburban mall. But that’s not what Tulum is. It’s about adventure, soul, and connection. And honestly? If you rent an ATV instead of constantly calling taxis (which cost double), you’ll not only save money, but you’ll also have way more fun. This is Mexico, embrace it.
If you’re looking for cookie-cutter all-inclusive comfort, Rubi Tulum isn’t for you. But if you want beauty, authenticity, tranquility, and unforgettable hospitality, you just found your place.
The atmosphere here is unmatched. Natural, peaceful, romantic. Whether you’re sipping your drink by the pool, coming back from a jungle tour, or just enjoying the breeze under the stars, Rubi Tulum feels magical.
This review has no agenda. I gain nothing from writing this, but I felt compelled because I almost missed out on this place due to lazy, ungrateful reviews. Rubi Tulum was the highlight of my trip. I’m amazed. I’m wowed. And yes, I’m already planning my return.
Book it. Don’t think twice. You will NOT be disappointed.
