How to Check in
Those flying with Air India Express have the option to check-in online through the airline’s web check-in feature or in person at the airport. When checking in online for international flights, passengers can select a preferred seat for a small additional fee and will receive an itinerary receipt and a PNR number. Air India Express check-in counters are open 3 hours before flight departures and close an hour before the flight leaves. Passengers will also need the credit or debit card used to purchase the ticket when checking in at the check-in counter.
Baggage Allowances and Fees
All Air India Express flights permit passengers to check-in baggage free of charge, but the weight of baggage varies according to the flight destination. Those booking Air India Express flights are advised to check with the airline how much baggage is allowed on your particular flight, as excess baggage weight is subject to additional fees. Air India Express passengers are also entitled to one item of personal hand baggage to take on-board which must not exceed 7 kg.
All Air India Express flights are Economy Class only and consist of around 180 seats. When booking your ticket or checking in online, there is the option to select your preferred seat for an additional fee. Seats on Air India Express flights are afforded 29 inches of legroom.
