Airport Information - Arriving

Heathrow Airport is comprised of four passenger terminals which are all connected by train if you need to transfer between flights. Once your flight has touched down at the airport you can catch the Heathrow Express which can whisk you into central London in just 15 minutes. Alternatively, there are plenty of other options available to reach your destination including on the London Underground or by bus, coach and taxi. Car rental is also available. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is the main airport serving Ahmedabad located less than 10km from the city center. The airport itself consists of two terminals after the new T2 terminal was inaugurated in 2010. While the most convenient way to reach the airport is by taxi or to drive yourself, public buses are capable of taking you to within 1km of the airport if you are on a tight budget. While you wait at the airport there are a few basic amenities available so you won’t be short on things to do. Alongside a couple of places to eat and drink, you can wait for flights in an airport lounge if you prefer somewhere more private. In addition to this, the airport provides free Wi-Fi for up to 30 minutes at a time.

What to Expect in London

Although London enjoys warm and pleasant summers, the weather can get fairly cold over the winter so be sure to pack something warm with you. While some nationals can enter the UK visa-free or obtain an electronic visa waiver such as UAE citizens, Indian nationals will have to obtain a visa first before making the journey.
