While the airport is not yet operating at full capacity and only offers a limited number of flights, it is projected to overtake Dubai International Airport as the country’s main airport in the future.

Airport Information - Departing

Dusseldorf Airport is the primary airport in Dusseldorf located 7km (4 miles) outside of the city. The airport itself is made up of three passenger terminals - those flying to Dubai will be based at Terminal C, the main terminal for non-Schengen flights. All terminals are interconnected so if you do need to transfer between terminals you can do so on foot without a problem. Alongside a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafes, travelers can enjoy other amenities such as free Wi-Fi for 30 minutes or spend your time in a comfortable airport lounge while you wait for your flight.

What to Expect in Dubai

In Dubai you can expect the weather to be a lot hotter compared to Dusseldorf no matter what time of year you visit, although if you would prefer to visit when the weather is at its coolest then sometime between December and February would be ideal.
