The primary airport serving the city of Colombo is Bandaranaike International Airport, also known as Colombo International Airport. Currently there are three airlines offering direct flights from Dubai to Colombo - SriLankan Airlines, Emirates and flydubai. All of the flights to Colombo from Dubai leave Dubai International Airport as opposed to the Al Maktoum International Airport. Colombo is also home to Ratmalana Airport, Sri Lanka's only international airport before Bandaranaike International Airport opened in 1967. Airport Information - Arriving

Bandaranaike International Airport is made up of two passenger terminals as well as a third terminal which is due to open in 2019. Terminal 1 is the largest in the airport and currently operates all international flights, while Terminal 3 is dedicated to domestic operations. The planned Terminal 2 is scheduled to open in 2019 and will eventually take over many international flight routes. Passengers traveling to and from Dubai will be at Terminal 1 which offers a lot in terms of duty free shops, eateries and airport lounges.
