Kuwait International Airport is situated around 15 km from Kuwait City and is made up of one main passenger terminal alongside a smaller terminal. When you have arrived at the airport you will find taxis readily available outside of the airport. Alternatively, there are a few public bus routes serving the airport and plenty of car rental companies are located on site. The airport benefits from its own shopping mall which boasts an exceptional array of amenities and services for travelers. Here you will find everything from duty-free and retail shopping to many restaurants and cafés. Free Wi-Fi access is also available at the airport and there are numerous airport lounges open to travelers.

Airport Information - Departing

Dubai International Airport is Dubai’s primary airport located 5 km from the city center. The airport consists of three passenger terminals and is directly linked to the Dubai metro network. You can also travel to the airport by bus and plenty of short- and long-term parking spaces are available for vehicle owners. Pass the time at the airport browsing through the luxury products and duty-free goods on offer, or satisfy your appetite at one of the restaurants and eateries. You’ll find plenty more luxuries available at the airport including several airport lounges, rest zones, spa treatment centers and free Wi-Fi access.

What to Expect in Kuwait

There are lots of hotel options in Kuwait City, catering for all budgets. UAE nationals traveling to Kuwait can enter the country without needing a visa but will have to present a valid national ID card. The weather gets extremely hot in Kuwait over the summer when average highs reach up to 47 degrees in July and August, although things cool down a lot if you visit over the winter period. Although Kuwait City is served by public buses, they are not always reliable or comfortable so it is usually a better idea to rely on taxis instead or rent your own vehicle. In Kuwait the local time zone is just an hour behind the UAE, while the currency you will need in the country is the Kuwaiti dinar.
