Jazeera Airways is Kuwait’s second national airline primarily operating low-cost flights in the Middle East. From its main hub at Kuwait International Airport, Jazeera Airways fly to 20 destinations including Turkey, Egypt and the UAE and is one of the leading budget airlines in the region. The airline has a small fleet of 7 Airbus A320-200 aircraft and offer Economy and Business Class travel. Jazeera Airways is a relatively new airline and was only founded in 2004 yet has already had a significant impact on aviation in the region.

How to Check in

Jazeera Airways allow passengers to check-in in a number of different ways at your convenience. Online check-in is available and also allows passengers to go through the fast track counter at the airport in order to speed up your journey. For all passengers checking in online, you will need to print off two copies of your boarding pass and are able to drop off checked baggage at a designated fast baggage drop counter at the airport. During the online check-in process, travelers are also able to select a preferred seat. Alternatively, those flying out of Kuwait International Airport can use the Jazeera Airways self check-in kiosks to skip the queues. Checking in the conventional way at the counter is still possible for those who wish to do so. Check-in counters open 3 hours before flight departure and close between 45-60 minutes before your flight leaves.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Jazeera Airways allows passengers complimentary checked baggage as well as hand baggage to take on board your flight. The airline provide very generous baggage allowances, with Economy Class passengers entitled to 40kg and Business Class allowed 60kg. However, travelers should be advised that no single item of baggage is allowed to exceed 32kg in compliance with international regulations. Economy fares are allowed one item of hand baggage not exceeding 7kg, while Business Class passengers are permitted two items no heavier than 15kg. Additionally, all hand baggage must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Any passengers with oversized or overweight baggage will be subject to additional charges which vary according to your destination.


Jazeera Airways flights offer two flight classes - Economy and Business. All passengers are offered the chance to select your seat before boarding the flight. While this option is free of charge for Business Class fares, those in Economy will need to pay a small additional charge between 30-85AED*. Economy Class passengers can enjoy complimentary food and drinks on board the flight. Business Class passengers are seated in a private cabin comprised of 12 seats and can also enjoy additional perks such as airport lounge access, a dedicated check-in counter and a new menu each month on board.

Booking Fees

Travelers booking with Jazeera Airways will not be subject to any hidden charges or fees. Although Business Class passengers can select a seat free of charge, Economy passengers will need to pay an additional fee for this privilege. Additional charges for excess baggage are also necessary and vary according to your destination.
