Airport Information - Arriving

Edinburgh Airport is home to a single passenger terminal and handles over 12 million passengers every year. It is possible to travel from Edinburgh Airport into the center of the city by public transport including on the tram network or by local bus, while those who would prefer a taxi trip can find them just outside the airport. Alternatively, you can pay a visit to the car rental facility just next to the terminal building where many leading car rental agencies operate. While you are at the airport you will find plenty of amenities such as cafes, pubs and duty-free shopping so there is plenty to do to pass the time. Edinburgh Airport also provides travelers with free Wi-Fi for up to two hours and offers children’s play areas for families travelling with kids.

Lisbon Portela Airport is Lisbon’s primary airport comprised of two passenger terminals which you can easily transfer between using the complimentary shuttle bus provided. If you do not want to take a taxi to the airport you can hop on the local Metro or catch a public bus to make the journey from the center of Lisbon. The airport offers plenty of amenities including a wide range of retail shops and duty-free stores as well as many choices when it comes to dining and drinking. What to Expect in Edinburgh

In Edinburgh you can expect the weather to be a lot colder compared to Lisbon, although over the summer the Scottish capital sees plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. Portuguese nationals will not need to obtain a visa in order to travel to Edinburgh, while UAE nationals are also afforded the same privilege. If you plan on exploring most of the popular sights in the center of Edinburgh you can get around easily on foot, although the city does have a network of trams, buses and trains so you can explore the wider Edinburgh area.
