Airport Information - Arriving
Salalah International Airport is the second busiest airport in Oman located just 5 km from Salalah. The airport is relatively new after opening in 2015 and offers a good range of amenities and services for travelers. Inside the airport terminal you’ll find several cafés and food outlets if you are feeling hungry, while duty-free shopping is also available. Other facilities include lounges and free Wi-Fi connectivity, so there’s plenty to do while you wait for your flight. Upon arriving at the airport, taxis are the easiest way to reach your destination. Additionally, there are a few car rental companies that can be found on site if you need your own vehicle.
Airport Information - Departing
Muscat International Airport is the busiest airport in Oman located around 30 km from central Muscat. All flights at the airport are currently handled in the new Terminal 1 which opened up in 2018, while the old passenger terminal is currently being redeveloped for low-cost carriers. You can travel to the airport from Muscat by bus if you don’t want to pay for a private taxi. Inside the airport terminal there are plenty of amenities to keep travelers happy. Alongside duty-free shopping there are a choice of eateries and cafés serving up refreshments and meals. You will also be able to connect to free Wi-Fi during your stay at the airport.
