How to Check in

EgyptAir offer passengers the option to check-in online or through a conventional airport check-in. When utilizing the web check-in service, passengers are required to either print out their boarding pass or receive a mobile boarding pass from EgyptAir. Web check-in is available from 48 hours up to 90 minutes before your flight departs. Passengers should be advised that anyone with check-in baggage are advised to turn up at an EgyptAir baggage drop counter at least an hour before your scheduled departure time.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

EgyptAir passengers are entitled to checked baggage in addition to a personal item to bring on-board, although specific allowances vary according to your flight class and destination. International flights permit two items of check-in luggage not exceeding 23kg in Economy Class or 32kg in First and Business Class or 158cm in dimensions for all passengers. In addition to this, Economy Class travelers are allowed one item of hand baggage not exceeding 8kg, while First and Business Class passengers are permitted two items not exceeding 8kg. Members of Star Gold and EgyptAir Plus are entitled to additional baggage free of charge. All overweight or oversized baggage will be subject to additional charges which vary according to your flight route.


Those traveling with EgyptAir are able to select their seat during the check-in process. The seat pitch in Economy Class is around 18 inches, while those in Business Class can enjoy generous legroom with the average seat pitch at 50 inches.
