Buying excess baggage on Pegasus Airlines
You can buy extra baggage online up to 4 hours before your flight departs, or you can pay for your extra kilos at the airport. You can buy extra weight in lots of 5kg, up to a maximum of 30kg, or in lots of 10kg up to a maximum of 50kg.
The prices of the excess baggage is determined by your route and is affected by exchange rates so it’s best to contact the airline directly for an accurate price. See the airlines list of charges here.
Ways to get the best from your luggage allowance with Pegasus Airlines:
Buy a new cabin bag
If hand baggage space is at a premium, choosing a good bag can make all the difference. There’s some incredibly slimline bags on the market nowadays meaning you won’t be wasting precious inches with bulky materials or unusable space. If your usual bag is giving you a headache, it might be time to upgrade. Which not check out our ‘Luggage you didn’t know you needed until now!‘ article for more inspiration.
Traveling with children
Traveling with an infant under 2 will give you an extra 10kg baggage allowance with Pegasus Airlines. Note: you can’t purchase any extra baggage for an infant so make the most of the extra 10kg allowance.
Pack light
Again, when space is at a premium you need to think carefully about what you’re taking, as well as what you’re taking it in. Ditch the bulky shoes for some compact flats and swap the heavy hairdryer for a handy travel version. Think about where you’re traveling; could you pick up some ‘essentials’ easily and cheaply at your destination?
Shop around
Just because you’re saving money on a cheap fare, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting the best deal, especially if an airline doesn’t offer a free baggage allowance and you’re forced to pay for every kilo. Read up on an airline’s baggage policies before you book
