Southern Kolkata has a much more modern feel to it compared to the rest of the city – here you will find many of the city’s finest shopping centers alongside beautiful green areas and parks like the Rabindra Sarovar. You can also find many exciting cultural events and festivals taking place in the city all year round - if you are visiting during October don’t miss out on the spectacular Durga Puja Hindu festival.
