Want to use the same magic that powers our award-winning flight search to find the best room rates on the Internet? Here are a few tips to help you search and save in seconds.

Where to Stay in Johannesburg

As you would expect from the biggest city in South Africa and one of the world’s top 50 largest urban areas, Johannesburg has more than enough accommodation choices should you need somewhere to stay in the capital of Gauteng province.

The city has a wide range of options to suit all pockets and requirements, ranging from super luxury five-star options to the standard en-suite room or apartment. While being close to the airport may be a priority, most hotels are within easy access to a motorway or major road linking direct to O.R. Tambo International Airport.

The city’s Gautrain system links central Johannesburg at Park Station with the main business districts to the north at Sandton and Rosebank, while the service also stretches to Pretoria and O.R. Tambo International Airport. Visitors can also get around using taxis, metro bus and metro rail services. Alternatively, car rental in Johannesburg is an option.

3. Margaret’s Place

An economy choice hotel, Margaret’s Place is a quirky and fun option within close proximity of Bruma Lake Flea Market, Bedford Center Shopping Mall and Rhodes Park.
