Airport Information - Arriving

Dubai International Airport is the busiest airport in the world in terms of international passenger traffic handling over 80 million travelers a year. At the airport there is a wide selection of amenities and facilities to enjoy with everything from designer stores, duty-free shopping and luxurious airport lounges available. You can also select from many places to eat and drink with everything from high-end restaurant to fast food available, or you can relax in a café with a hot drink while you wait for your flight. The airport has three passenger terminals which are all relatively easy to transfer between. Getting between Terminals 1 and 3 is possible on the Dubai Metro, although you will need to hop on the free shuttle bus at the airport to reach Terminal 2. Renting a car in Dubai is also a popular option.

Airport Information - Departing

Bahrain International Airport is Bahrain’s primary airport located just outside of Manama. Comprised of two passenger terminals, the airport offers all of the amenities and facilities you would need such as duty-free shopping and many places to eat and drink. Passengers who like to wait for flights in luxury may consider visiting one of the three airport lounges at the airport - both the Marhaba Lounge and Dilmun lounge can be accessed by all travelers for a fee on the door. Situated just 7km outside of Manama, travelers can easily get to and from the airport by taxi.

What to Expect in Dubai

Dubai stays hot all year round with temperatures reaching scorching highs over the summer. If you prefer things to be a little cooler then the best time to visit is between October and March when temperatures are pleasantly cool. Bahraini nationals are able to enter Dubai without requiring a visa in addition to nationals from many other nations. Nationals from the UK and US will however need to obtain a visa upon arrival.
