Airport Information - Arriving

Dubai International Airport is the main airport in Dubai handling over 80 million passengers annually. The airport has three passenger terminals - while Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are connected to the Dubai Metro, you will need to use the free shuttle bus provided in order to get to and from Terminal 2. The airport offers a huge variety of amenities and services to ensure your stay is a pleasant one including a wide selection of designer stores, duty free shopping and all the other essentials you would expect. If you want to enjoy something to eat or drink you can find establishments of all kinds at the airport ranging from world-class cuisine to cheap eats and everything in between. The most convenient way to reach central Dubai from Dubai International Airport is on the Dubai Metro from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, or you can just as easily hop in a taxi outside any terminal.

Airport Information - Departing

Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport is Budapest’s primary airport made up of three passenger terminals, although Terminal 1 is not currently in use so only two terminals are operational. Passengers flying to Dubai will be based at Terminal 2B which is used for non-Schengen Area flights, and you can easily get between terminals at the airport as they are connected by the Sky Court commercial area. You will find a large range of shops, restaurants and bars located in either terminal and at the Sky Court center to enjoy your time before flying out.

What to Expect in Dubai

In Dubai you can expect the weather to be a lot hotter than Budapest no matter what time of year it is. Those who can’t handle the heat may want to visit sometime between November and March when temperatures are at their coolest. There are plenty of hotels in Dubai catering for every budget. Many nationals including those from EU countries are entitled to enter Dubai without needing a visa, while other citizens including UK and US citizens can acquire a visa (no cost) upon arrival.
