Sofia Airport is a modern airport comprised of two passenger terminals including the new Terminal 2 which was inaugurated in 2006. Once your flight has touched down at the airport you can easily journey into the center of the Sofia using the Sofia Metro Line 1 (Red). However, taxis and public buses are also available or you could rent a car. While you wait for flights at the airport you can find plenty of things to do to pass the time. The airport is home to a broad range of shops including duty-free stores and designer shops, while there are also plenty of places to grab a bite to eat or a quick drink.
