Arriving In Sofia

Sofia Airport is the busiest airport in Bulgaria located roughly 10 km outside of the capital Sofia. The airport itself consists of two passenger terminals and offers an excellent range of shops, cafés and eateries to keep travelers happy. When you have arrived at the airport you can get into the city by public transport with public buses and metro trains available alongside taxis.

Although Bulgaria is not officially a part of the Schengen Area it abides by the same visa laws, so UAE nationals are able to enter the country on a visa free basis for up to 90 days. In Sofia the weather gets very cold during the winter with plenty of snowfall between December and February, although it warms up with the onset of summer with average highs of up to 27 degrees during July and August.
