Terminals at Dublin Airport

There are two passenger terminals at Dublin Airport operating both short and long haul flights. Terminal 1 mostly serves short-haul flights and has benefited from recent renovation work. The newer Terminal 2 was inaugurated in 2010 and serves mostly long-haul flight carriers including Emirates, Etihad Airways and American Airlines. The two terminals are within close proximity to one another, so those needing to change terminals can make the trip on foot easily.

There are many dining choices in both terminals ranging from sandwich bars and cafés to restaurants and pubs. Dublin Airport’s extensive shopping opportunities revolve around The Loop, a shopping concourse that covers both terminals. Many high-end designer goods are on sale here as well as duty-free shopping and other travel and souvenir shops.

Taxis are also a popular mode of transportation from the airport and are available at taxi ranks outside each terminal. Taxis at Dublin Airport are metered and able to travel within 30 km of the airport.

Extensive parking facilities are available at Dublin Airport offering both short and long term parking for vehicle owners. Alternatively, a number of internationally recognized car rental companies operate at Dublin Airport in the Terminal 1 Arrivals area and Terminal 2 car park for those looking to use their own vehicle.
