Kempegowda International Airport is the main airport in Bengaluru, also known as Bangalore, situated around 40 km outside of the city. There is currently just one airline providing direct flights from Dubai to Bengaluru which is Air India. Be aware that all flights to Bengaluru out of Dubai run from Dubai International Airport, not to be confused with Al Maktoum International Airport. Kempegowda International Airport is a single terminal building providing both domestic and international flights. The airport is the 3rd busiest in India capable of handling over 26 million passengers annually, a number which is growing by the year. Kempegowda International Airport offers a broad range of facilities and amenities for passengers so you’ll find plenty of things to do to pass the time. As well as its extensive selection of cafés and eateries, the airport also offers duty free shopping and a range of stores. If you would rather wait for your flights somewhere more luxurious you can stay in one of the airport lounges, while the airport provides travelers with free Wi-Fi access. There are a number of ways for passengers to get to and from central Bengaluru including a dedicated airport bus as well as taxis.

Airport Information - Departing

All of the direct flights from Dubai to Bengaluru leave Dubai International Airport, the world’s busiest airport serving over 89 million passengers annually. The facilities and amenities at the airport are excellent, offering passengers a wide choice of designer stores, duty free shopping, restaurants and cafés. The airport is comprised of three terminals, each offering many amenities including premium airport lounges to relax in comfort.

IndiGo flights to Bengaluru all leave from Terminal 1, while Emirates flights depart from Terminal 3. Terminals 1 and 3 are linked together by a free airport shuttle service as well as the Dubai Metro network. Those traveling to and from the wider Dubai area can hop on the Dubai Metro network or find a licensed airport taxi outside each of the terminals.

All travelers entering Bengaluru will require a visa which can be arranged prior to arriving in the country. Most nationals will be required to apply for an e-Tourist Visa at least four days prior to flying. Bengaluru stays warm all year round, although temperatures do tend to be cooler compared to Dubai. The main rainy season in the region occurs between August and September, while the warmest season in Bengaluru is between March and May.
