Goa International Airport, also known as Dabolim Airport, is located roughly 30 km from Panjim and is made up of two passenger terminals. Once your flight has touched down at the airport, the most convenient way to reach your destination is to get in a taxi. You can find prepaid taxi counters available inside the airport so you get a fair price. Alternatively, many hotels and resorts in the region offer their own shuttle services, so it is worth checking before your flight. Goa International Airport offers a small selection of important amenities such as travel and gift shops alongside duty-free shopping. In addition to this, there are a few different eateries and cafés available for hungry travelers.

Airport Information - Departing

Dubai International Airport is Dubai’s primary airport and one of the world’s busiest international airports which handled over 88 million travelers in 2018. The airport consists of three passenger terminals and offers a huge range of facilities and amenities. One of the most convenient ways to reach the airport from Dubai is to hop on the Dubai Metro which can take you directly to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Alternatively, there are public bus routes available and extensive on-site parking for vehicle owners driving themselves. During your time at the airport you can browse through many of the world’s most prestigious designer brands or do some duty-free shopping. Additionally, you won’t go hungry at the airport as there are plenty of restaurants, cafés and fast food outlets to choose from. Other amenities available to travelers include many different airport lounges, free Wi-Fi throughout the airport and even rest zones.

What to Expect in Goa

In Goa the weather is warm all year round with average highs of 29 to 33 degrees, so you are unlikely to need any warm clothing with you. There is a rainy season in the region which begins towards the end of May and carries on through until September. The peak travel season in Goa is from October to January when the weather is at its coolest. Many nationals including EU and UAE citizens are able to get an e-visa online before traveling to India. In general you can expect prices in the region to be cheaper compared to Dubai for things like accommodation and dining out, while the currency you will need in Goa is the Indian rupee.
