Jinnah International Airport is the busiest airport in Pakistan, situated around 20 km from the center of Karachi. The airport is housed within one main terminal building which is split into an East section for international flights and a West section for domestic operations. Once your flight has landed at the airport, the easiest way to reach the city is to hop in a taxi just outside of the airport terminal. However, if you are on a strict budget you can find public buses available at a much cheaper price. Alternatively, you could consider renting a car. You’ll find a good range of services and facilities to meet your needs including retail shops, duty-free stores and a few different cafés and eateries.

Airport Information - Departing

Dubai International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports which handled close to 90 million travelers in 2018. The airport is made up of three passenger terminals which are connected together by the metro or by bus if you need to transfer. To travel to the airport from central Dubai you can hop on the Dubai metro system which goes to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, or you can catch a public bus if this is more convenient. Alternatively, vehicle owners will find extensive short- and long-term parking at the airport. You won’t be short on shopping options at the airport as it boasts some of the world’s finest designer brands and many more retail and duty-free stores to explore. There are also plenty of restaurants and eateries available if you are feeling hungry amongst many more amenities like airport lounges, rest zones and free Wi-Fi access.

What to Expect in Karachi

UAE nationals traveling to Pakistan have to arrange a visa before traveling to the country. However, those traveling to the country for business purposes are able to get a business visa upon arrival. The weather in Karachi is fairly hot for most of the year but not quite as hot as Dubai over the summer with average highs reaching around 35 degrees from April to June. You’ll need to put your clocks forward by just an hour to get on local time in Karachi, while the currency used in the country is the Pakistani rupee.
