PIA, also known as Pakistan International Airlines, is the national flag carrier of Pakistan. It operates scheduled services to 50 destinations in 28 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America including flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Its main hub is in Karachi while Lahore and Islamabad are secondary hubs. Providing excellent customer service and great value flights, this is one of Pakistan’s most popular airlines with a loyal customer base.

How to Check In
If you have no bags to check in you can make use of the ‘Easy Check In’ at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad Airports. Alternatively there is a ‘City Check In’ option which can be used 72 hours prior to scheduled departure, again for passengers without baggage to check in. This is done at dedicated city check in counters at the airport. There is no online check in option available with PIA currently.
Baggage Allowance and Fees
On PIA flights the cabin baggage allowance per passenger is a maximum weight of 7 kg and 38 x 22 x 55 size for economy travellers, the same for economy plus and 12 kg and a size of 38 x 22 x 55 ms for business class passengers plus one small briefcase. For hold baggage allowances vary considerably depending on your destination and cabin class. For example, on flights to and from the UAE travelers in Economy are allowed up to 40kg, while in Business Class this is increased to 50kg. Excess baggage charges of 130AED* per kilo apply on flights to and from the UAE, while rates vary on other routes.
There is no charge for seating on PIA flights but as there is no online check in available, you will need to request your preferred seat when you check in at the airport.
All on board refreshments are included in the price of the ticket. There are no hidden booking fees with PIA.
