The airport is comprised of three passenger terminals and is linked to the wider Dubai area by public transport including the Dubai metro system. Islamabad International Airport is a brand-new airport in Islamabad which replaced the now unused Benazir Bhutto International Airport in May 2018. The airport is situated around 20 km from the center of Islamabad and has the capacity to serve up to 15 million passengers which will increase to 25 million once it is complete. Although the airport’s commercial lots are not all occupied as the airport is still undergoing development, you’ll still find a decent range of amenities and services to meet your needs including duty-free shopping and a food court area.
