Cheap Flights from Karachi to Dubai

There are two international airports in Dubai - Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. Passengers catching flights from Karachi to Dubai are able to travel with Emirates, flydubai and Pakistan International Airlines. Be advised that all flights from Karachi to Dubai arrive at Dubai International Airport and not the newer Al Maktoum International Airport.

Airport Information – Arriving

Dubai International Airport is renowned as one of the world’s finest airports offering numerous shops, restaurants and other amenities to keep travelers happy. At the airport you can spend your time browsing through the finest luxury and designer brands or do a spot of duty free shopping. There are also many places to eat and drink ranging from convenient fast food outlets to world-class restaurants and everything in between. The airport itself consists of three passenger terminals which are easily to travel between. While Terminals 1 and 3 are part of the Dubai Metro network, in order to reach Terminal 2 you will need to use the free shuttle bus operated by the airport. You can use the Dubai Metro to travel into the city or catch a taxi/local bus instead. Alternatively, many visitors to Dubai rent a car to explore the city and also fit in trips to nearby Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Al Maktoum International Airport is the secondary airport serving Dubai and is less than 40 km from the center. The airport has not yet been fully completed but still offers a good range of amenities and services for travelers. When you have arrived you will find metered taxis available to reach your destination, while the airport is also linked to the city center by bus. There aren’t currently any flights from Karachi to Dubai arriving at this airport but this is subject to change in the future.

Airport Information - Departing

Karachi's main airport is Jinnah International Airport which is situated 20km from the city. The airport is a single-terminal building separated into two sections - East and West. Passengers catching international flights will depart from the East section, while domestic flights leave from the West section. At the airport there is a decent range of amenities including places to eat and drink as well as a selection of shops. Passengers are also able to enjoy free Wi-Fi at the airport or wait for flights in luxury at one of two airport lounges.

What to Expect in Dubai

There are many great hotels in Dubai catering for every budget. The weather in Dubai stays hot all year round but does cool down a bit over the winter between November and February if you want to avoid the heat. Be advised that nationals from Pakistan will be required to obtain a visa in advance of the journey, while some nationals including those from EU nations can travel visa-free (UK nationals can get a visa on arrival). Remember that Dubai is an hour behind Karachi so make sure you wind back your clocks when you land, while the currency you will need during your trip is the United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED).
