The two airports in Dubai are Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. There are a number of options available for travelers flying from Moscow to Dubai and there are flights operating from three airports in Moscow and two in Dubai. From Domodedovo International Airport you can travel to Dubai with Emirates and Ural Airlines (seasonally), while Aeroflot and flydubai offer flights from Vnukovo International Airport. It is also possible to fly with Aeroflot from Sheremetyevo International Airport, while charter flights to Al Maktoum International Airport from Moscow are available with Azur Air, RoyalFlight and Ural Airlines.

Airport Information - Arriving

Dubai International Airport is Dubai’s main airport handling over 80 million travelers every year. The airport is comprised of three passenger terminals which are all very easy to travel between if you need to transfer. At the airport you will find a huge selection of shops including designer brands, luxury stores and duty free shopping. There are also many different places to eat and drink with everything from world-class gourmet cuisine to convenient fast food available. Once you have landed at Dubai International Airport you can easily travel into the center of Dubai on the Dubai Metro from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, or you can opt for a taxi found outside any of the terminals. Many visitors to Dubai rent a car.

Al Maktoum International Airport is Dubai’s newest airport although it is not yet operating at full capacity. Despite this there are still many great amenities to be enjoyed at the airport including duty-free shopping and a variety of cafes and eateries. Once fully completed the airport is projected to become the world’s busiest and will also boast a huge range of shops, restaurants and other amenities.

Airport Information - Departing

Sheremetyevo International Airport is Russia's busiest airport, located 30km from Moscow and comprised of four passenger terminals. All of the terminals are connected by a shuttle bus service so you can easily transfer between terminals. You will find an extensive range of amenities to be enjoyed at the airport whether it’s shops to browse through or a restaurant to sit down and enjoy a meal.

Domodedovo International Airport is the secondary airport serving Moscow also offering all of the amenities and facilities you would need for a pleasant stay. The airport is comprised of a single-terminal complex separated into domestic and international areas so you can easily transfer between flights.

Vnukovo International Airport is the smallest of Moscow’s international airports and handles around 16 million passengers per year. The airport is comprised of three passenger terminals including the new Terminal A which operates most international flights.

What to Expect in Dubai

In Dubai you can expect temperatures to be far hotter than Moscow, especially during the winter when the climate still stays warm and pleasant. Russian nationals are able to obtain a visa upon arrival in the UAE, while some other nationals including EU citizens (excluding the UK) can enter the country without needing a visa at all.
