Warsaw Chopin Airport is housed within a single passenger terminal and offers a wide selection of facilities for travelers to enjoy. Warsaw Modlin Airport is situated around 40 km outside of Warsaw and exclusively handles flights by Ryanair around Europe. If you don’t want to make the 40 km trip into the city by taxi, you can use public transport either by bus or train. The airport itself offers only a few essential amenities but you can find a couple of shops and cafés if you need something to eat.

Rome Ciampino Airport is the second airport in Rome situated just 8 km away from the city. You can find public transport to journey to the airport, although taxis are affordable given the short distance. You can find all of the essential services you would expect including travel shops and duty-free shopping alongside a couple of dining and drinking spots, so you won’t be lacking in things to do while you wait to board your flight.
What to Expect in Warsaw
There are a plenty of hotels in Warsaw catering for every budget. The summers see a lot of warmth and sunshine with highs of around 24C over the height of summer, but temperatures can often drop to below freezing during the winter so be sure to pack the appropriate clothing. As Poland is a part of the Schengen Area, EU and UAE nationals will not have to get a visa in order to make the journey.
