Checking in to your Alitalia flight is possible through a number of different ways including online check-in and via mobile. Web check-in opens 24 hours before flight departure times and enables passengers to easily check in no matter where you are. Baggage Allowances and Fees

Alitalia passengers are permitted check-in hold baggage as well as one item of hand baggage to take on-board during the flight. For checked baggage, passengers are entitled to either one of two items depending on your destination and flight class. Checked baggage must not exceed 158cm in dimensions or either 23kg or 32kg in weight depending on your fare and destination. Passengers are advised to consult with the airline before arriving at the airport to confirm your baggage allowance for your flight. The one item of hand baggage must not weigh more than 8kg or exceed 55cm x 35cm x 25cm. Any baggage that exceeds the allocated dimensions and weight will be subject to additional charges payable during check-in.


Alitalia flights offer spacious legroom which varies depending on your flight's class. Those flying in Economy can look forward to seating with a pitch between 30-35 inches, while those flying in Business Class can enjoy even more legroom dependent on the aircraft.
