Imphal Airport, known officially as Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, is situated just 8 km from the center of Imphal and handles a broad selection of domestic flights across India. The airport itself consists of a single passenger terminal and has the capacity to handle around 700 passengers at a time. A decent range of amenities and facilities are available at the airport, although options are relatively limited. You’ll find a small choice of restaurants and eateries if you are feeling hungry alongside a couple of convenience stores. Although the airport does not currently handle any direct flights from the UAE, you can easily travel from the UAE to Imphal with just a single connecting flight.

Arriving in Imphal

When you have landed in Imphal there are a few ways that you can travel to your destination. The most convenient way is to hop in a taxi just outside of the terminal building, while the airport is also served by public buses and local auto rickshaws.
