Arriving In Istanbul
Istanbul Ataturk Airport is the busiest airport in Turkey located roughly 25 km from central Istanbul. There are plenty of ways to travel into the city once your flight has landed including on the local metro network or by bus, so you don’t have to rely on a taxi. Inside the airport there is a wealth of retail and designer shops as well as duty free shopping, while you can also look forward to a wide array of dining and drinking choices.
If you want to book flights from the UAE to Istanbul there are plenty of choices available with the option to fly out of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Those coming from Dubai can travel with Emirates and Turkish Airlines out of Dubai International Airport, while travelers based in Abu Dhabi can catch flights with Etihad Airways and Turkish Airlines. Istanbul Travel Information
UAE nationals are able to travel to Turkey by applying online for an E-Visa which is valid for up to 90 days. Although the weather in Istanbul over the summer is hot with highs of 26 degrees to be expected, it can get surprisingly cold during the winter when you will need to wear something warm. The city of Istanbul is served by an extensive public transport network to help you get around, although there are a number of leading car rental companies operating at Istanbul Ataturk Airport if you would rather have your own vehicle.
