Almaty International Airport is the largest airport in Kazakhstan handling over 4 million travelers each year. The airport has two passenger terminals, the newest of which opened in 2004 - be aware that connectivity between terminals is poor so you may want to make your own travel arrangements if you need to transfer between flights. The airport offers a decent range of amenities and service including a few dining and drinking options as well as a selection of shops. The most popular way for travelers to reach central Almaty from the airport is by taxi, although there are also local buses available if you are on a budget.

Airport Information - Departing

Dubai International Airport is the main airport in Dubai and also the busiest in the world. The airport is known for its huge range of shops with everything from luxury and designer brands to duty free shopping and other essential travel shops available. You can also find a wide selection of places to eat and drink ranging from high-end gourmet cuisine to cheap eats and everything in between if you want to have a quick bite to eat before flying out. The airport itself consists of three passenger terminals which are all easy to travel between. Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are part of the Dubai Metro network, while those needing to get to Terminal 2 can hop on the free shuttle bus operated by the airport. Air Astana flies from Terminal 1 while flydubai operates from Terminal 2.
