The airport has two operational passenger terminals, with Terminal 2 being the newest terminal after opening in 2010. London Heathrow Airport is the busiest airport in Europe located just over 20km (12 miles) from the center of London. The airport currently has four passenger terminals in operation after Terminal 1 was closed in 2015. The airport is known for its huge array of amenities and facilities offering everything you could possibly need whether it’s shops to browse through and pass the time or somewhere to sit down with a meal or a drink. You can also find more than 10 airport lounges across the airport, many of which allow all travelers to enter for a fee on the door. The quickest way to reach Heathrow from the center of London is on the Heathrow Express out of Paddington Station which takes just 15 minutes.
