Traveling to Bengaluru

The primary airport in Bengaluru is Kempegowda International Airport, also known as Bengaluru International Airport. The airport is situated around 40 km north of Bengaluru and ranks as the third busiest airport in India handling over 25 million passengers annually despite only opening in 2008. The airport is currently comprised of a single passenger terminal handling both domestic and international flights, although a second terminal is currently planned for construction and is projected to open around 2022. There are direct flights from Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Emirates, Air India and IndiGo operate flights from Dubai, while Etihad Airways fly out of Abu Dhabi. From Sharjah International Airport you will be able to catch flights with Air Arabia and Air India.

Be advised that the rainy season in Bengaluru tends to commence in May and only lets up around October, so it may be best to plan your trip around this period if you don’t like the rain.
