Nokair, also known as Nok Air, is a Thai low-cost airline primarily offering domestic flights around Thailand in addition to a few regional international flights. From its primary operating hub at Don Mueang International Airport, Nokair flies to 30 destinations with a fleet of 33 aircraft and also has a secondary hub at Chiang Mai International Airport. Initially established in 2004, Nokair is part of the Value Alliance and the largest shareholder in the airline is Thai Airways, the flag carrier of Thailand.

How to Check in

Passengers flying with Nokair have the option to check-in in a number of different ways to suit your needs whether it’s online or at the airport. Those looking to check-in online can do so from 24 hours up to 1 hour before flights and are also able to select a preferred seat and print out a boarding pass to save time at the airport. Checking in on a mobile device is another convenient option and allows you to use a mobile boarding pass. However, be advised that online and mobile check-ins are not currently available on international flights, so those flying internationally will need to check-in at an airport counter. Counters open 3 hours and close 1 hour before international flights, while for domestic flights they open 2 hours and close 45 minutes before scheduled flight times.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Passengers flying with Nokair are allowed to bring baggage to check-in, although specific allowances vary according to your flight class and frequent flyer membership. Passengers in Economy are entitled to bring 15kg of baggage, while on a Nok Flexi ticket this is increased to 20kg. Members of the Nok Fan Club are allowed an additional 5kg and Nok Smile Plus members can bring 10kg more. Those on a promotional ticket will need to purchase additional baggage which is available in 5kg increments - as an example, 20kg of baggage can be bought for a fee of 75AED* during booking but rises to 95AED* after buying your ticket. All travelers are also entitled to bring one item of hand baggage on board no heavier than 7kg or larger than 56cm x 36cm x 23cm.


Nokair offer a standard Economy Class with the option for passengers to upgrade to premium seats offering additional legroom, priority boarding and more. Premium seats are available on select flights and cost an additional 32AED*. Standard Economy seats offer ample legroom with a seat pitch of 29-31 inches which is increased in premium seats. During the online check-in process passengers are able to select a preferred seat or purchase a premium seat.
