How to Check In

Passengers flying with Singapore Airlines are able to check-in either online or at the airport depending on whatever suits you. The online check-in service is open from 48 hours up to 2 hours before scheduled flight departure times, and passengers will need to print off a boarding pass in order to beat the queues at the airport. Alternatively, do things the conventional way by checking in at a designated Singapore Airlines check-in counter. Counters are open from 48 hours before flights which allow you to get things done nice and early. The airline advises passengers to be at the designated departure gate at least an hour before your flight leaves.

Baggage Allowance and Fees

Singapore Airlines allows passengers to check in baggage as part of the fare as well as the right to bring hand baggage on board, although your allowance will depend on your cabin class and membership with the airline’s frequent flyer programs. Those flying in Economy Class are entitled to bring 30kg of baggage, while those in Premium Economy Class can bring 35kg. Business Class passengers can check-in 40kg of baggage, while First Class and Suites passengers are allowed a generous 50kg of baggage. Be advised that flights to Brazil and the United States have different rules for baggage allowance, so be sure to check with the airline for the most up-to-date information. Hand baggage is also allowed on board - Economy and Premium Economy passengers are allowed to bring one item no heavier than 7kg, while Suites, First Class and Business Class passengers are entitled to two items up to 7kg each.

Seating and On Board Service

The amount of legroom passengers are afforded will depend on the model of aircraft, although those in Business, First Class and Suites will be able to enjoy spacious legroom.
