Hong Kong Airlines was founded in 2006 and has grown to offer flights to over 35 destinations with its fleet of 29 aircraft. With its main operating base at Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong Airlines holds codeshare agreements with many leading airlines including Etihad Airways and is also a part of the Fortune Wings Club frequent flyer program headed by Hainan Airlines.

How to Check in

Passengers flying with Hong Kong Airlines are able to check-in online or do things the traditional way by checking in at the airport. For those checking in online, the service is available from 48 hours up to 2 hours before scheduled departures, although online check-ins are not currently supported on flights to Australia or the United States. After checking in passengers are able to print off a boarding pass or receive a mobile boarding pass. Alternatively, going through the check-in process at a Hong Kong Airlines check-in counter is just as straightforward.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Travelers on board Hong Kong Airlines flights are able to check-in baggage as part of the fare, although your allowance varies according to your destination and flight class. Passengers are advised to check directly with the airline for accurate information about your baggage allowance. Members of the Fortune Wings Club frequent flyer program are entitled to additional checked baggage. All passengers are also entitled to bring hand baggage on board flights. Economy travelers are allowed one item up to 7kg and Business passengers are permitted two items up to 7kg each, while hand baggage must not exceed 56cm x 36cm 23cm.

Seating

Hong Kong Airlines flights offer a regular Economy Class alongside premium Business Class seating for those who enjoy a superior traveling experience. Passengers have the option to purchase seats with extra legroom - on short-haul flights extra legroom seats are priced at 100AED*, while on long-haul flights they will cost 240AED*.

On Board Service

Passengers on board Hong Kong Airlines flights can look forward to delicious hot meals and complimentary beverages to stay refreshed. Traditional local cuisine is served alongside Western favorites, while in Business Class travelers can enjoy a premium menu prepared by world-class chefs. Hong Kong Airlines also offers a special cake and champagne service for those who like the finer things in life which must be pre-booked at least 48 hours before flights.
