Arriving In Dublin
Dublin Airport is the busiest airport in Ireland situated roughly 10 km outside of the city. The airport is comprised of two passenger terminals and offers an excellent range of amenities and facilities. If you don’t want to pay for a taxi to travel into the city then there are buses available as well as numerous car rental companies at Dublin airport. As well as its many eateries, pubs and cafés, the airport is home to a variety of retail shops and offers extensive duty-free shopping. Additional amenities available include free Wi-Fi and rest zones with sleeping pods to catch up on some sleep.
Those looking to catch direct flights from the UAE to Dublin can travel out of Abu Dhabi or Dubai. If you choose to fly from Dubai you can travel with Emirates from Dubai International Airport, while Etihad Airways operates flights out of Abu Dhabi International Airport. Dublin Travel Information
UAE nationals are able to travel to Ireland as part of the Visa Waiver Programme which you will need to apply online for before traveling. The weather in Dublin can get cold over the winter so make sure you pack something warm, while over the summer temperatures can warm up slightly but nothing like what you are used to in the UAE. In Ireland the currency is the Euro like most member states in the EU, while the country is three hours behind the UAE so remember to set your clocks when you arrive.
