Istanbul Ataturk Airport is Istanbul’s main airport and also the busiest in Turkey handling over 60 million travelers annually. Once you have landed at the airport you can quickly travel into the center of Istanbul either by metro or bus, or you can choose the direct route to your destination with a taxi. Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport is the second airport in Istanbul located roughly 35km outside of the city. Although not quite as extensive as Istanbul Ataturk Airport, the airport still offers a sizable range of amenities and services to ensure all of your needs are met whether it’s shops to get your basics or somewhere for a meal or a drink.

Airport Information - Departing

Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport is the main airport serving Izmir handling around 12 million passengers a year. All of the basic amenities and services you would need can be found at the airport. The airport is home to a decent range of shops where you can get any last minute travel essentials you need, while there are also a few places available to order a meal or a quick drink before flying out. Getting to the airport is possible on the airport shuttle buses or by train if you don’t want to use a taxi.
