The main airport serving the city of Riyadh is King Khalid International Airport, situated 35 km outside of the city. It is possible to fly from Dubai to Riyadh from Dubai’s main airport, Dubai International Airport. Those looking to travel out of Dubai International Airport can fly with Emirates, flydubai, Flynas, SaudiGulf Airlines and Saudia. Flights previously operated out of Al Maktoum International Airport but are currently unavailable.

Airport Information - Arriving
King Khalid International Airport has five passenger terminals, although only three are currently operational as the other two terminals are undergoing work. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are utilized for international flights, while the brand new Terminal 5 is dedicated to domestic operations. Terminal 3 is currently benefiting from a renovation project, while the newly built Terminal 4 is yet to be operational. Terminals 1 and 2 are easy to transfer between on foot, while those needing to get to Terminal 5 can utilize the free shuttle bus service which runs every 10 minutes. At the airport there are many excellent amenities available to travelers including duty-free shopping and a wide selection of places to eat and drink. One of the most popular ways to get from the airport into central Riyadh is by taxi, although there are also private limousine hires and car rental companies available.
Airport Information - Departing
Dubai International Airport is the world’s busiest airport by international passenger traffic handling over 80 million travelers each year. The airport is known for its vast range of shopping opportunities which includes many of the world’s leading designer brands. Alongside this, passengers can select from a wide range of eateries ranging from fast food outlets to world-class restaurants. The airport has three terminals, two of which are connected to the Dubai Metro. Those needing to get to Terminal 2 simply have to hop on the free shuttle bus which takes 20 minutes.
Al Maktoum International Airport is relatively new having opened in 2010 and is still continuing to add to its growing list of flights. Located 37 km from the city of Dubai, the airport is projected to handle up to 260 million passengers once it is working at full capacity. Once the entire airport project is completed, a vast range of stores, restaurants and cafes will be available to travelers at the Dubai World Central Mall.
