Riyadh Airport

Riyadh Airport

Riyadh Airport, also known as King Khalid International Airport, is comprised of three operational passenger terminals serving over 23 million travelers annually. The airport is located around 35 km outside of the center of Riyadh and is the second largest in Saudi Arabia. At the airport travelers can catch flights to a huge range of destinations across the globe including direct flights to and from the UAE.

Terminals at Riyadh Airport

Riyadh Airport currently has three operational passenger terminals as well as additional terminals undergoing renovation work. The new Terminal 5 opened in 2016 and handles domestic flights, replacing Terminal 3 which is now set to benefit from extensive renovation work.

Terminal 1 is dedicated to international flights provided by various airlines, whereas Terminal 2 is for international flights operated by members of SkyTeam including Saudia and Flynas. Terminal 4 has yet to be put in use since its construction but is undergoing development work to put it into operation.

If you need to transfer between terminals at the airport then you don’t need to worry about it being a difficult process. Terminal 5 is connected to the two international terminals by a free shuttle bus operating every 10 minutes, whilst getting to and from the other terminals is a fairly brief journey on foot.
