As the national airline of Seychelles, Air Seychelles' main operating hub is Seychelles International Airport where its headquarters are also based. The airline currently provides flights to 9 different destinations around the world including Abu Dhabi as well as domestic destinations as is co-owned by Etihad Airways. Founded in 1977 by the Seychelles government, the airline benefited from investment by Etihad Airways in 2012 which significantly boosted its resources. Air Seychelles is also a part of the Etihad Guest frequent flyer program and is a part of the Vanilla Alliance.

How to Check in

Passengers flying with Air Seychelles are able to check-in online or do things the old fashioned way by checking in at the airport. The online check-in tool is open from 24 hours up to 2 hours before international flights and up to 1 hour before domestic flights. During the online check-in process passengers are able to select a seat and also print off a boarding pass to save time at the airport. Passengers with baggage will still need to visit a designated baggage drop-off point when arriving at the airport.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

All Air Seychelles flights allow passengers to check-in baggage as part of the fare, although just how much you can bring depends on where you are flying. For example, for flights to and from the UAE, Economy Deal/Saver passengers can bring one item up to 23kg, while Economic Classic/Flex travelers are able to bring two items up to 23kg each. Business Class travelers are allowed to bring even more baggage with a limit of two items up to 32kg each. On international flights Economy passengers are also entitled to bring one item of hand baggage on board no larger than 7kg, while in Business Class this allowance is increased to two items up to 12kg. Travelers are also able to purchase additional baggage allowances priced according to your destination. Those on flights to and from the UAE can bring an additional bag at a price of around 360AED*.

Air Seychelles flights offer a regular Economy Class as well as a luxurious Business Class for those who like to fly in style. In Economy passengers can enjoy spacious legroom with a seat pitch of 32-33 inches, while in Business Class you can stretch as much as you want with a seat pitch of 82 inches. On international flights all passengers are served a delicious hot meal as well as a range of beverages.
