Why Fly with AirAsia X

How to Check in

Travelers on AirAsia X flights are able to check in from the convenience of your computer online or at the airport depending on what suits your needs. Passengers looking to check in over the web can do so from 14 days up to 4 hours before flights. At the airport there is the option to check in at a self service kiosk at select airport to help beat the queues. Alternatively, you can just as easily check in the traditional way by visiting an AirAsia X check in counter at the airport. For domestic flights, counters open 2 hours and close 45 minutes before flights, while for international flights counters open 3 hours and close 1 hour prior to departure.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

AirAsia X flights do not offer free checked baggage as part of the fare so you only have to pay for what you need. Passengers are able to purchase baggage either online or at the airport with the option to purchase anywhere from 15kg to 40kg of checked baggage. If you want to save money you should definitely book your baggage online before flying as the rates offered at the airport are more expensive. If you are only traveling light, all passengers are entitled to one item of hand baggage to take on flights up to 7kg and no larger than 56cm x 36cm x 23cm as well as a small bag. If you are bringing baggage to check in, all bags need to be checked in at least 1 hour before international flights and 45 minutes on domestic flights.

Seating

AirAsia X flights offer a standard Economy Class in addition to luxurious Business Class seating for those who like to fly in style. In Economy Class you can stretch out with a seat pitch of 32 inches, while in Business Class you can really get comfortable with a seat pitch of 60 inches. Those in Business Class will be seated at the front of the plane so you can be one of the first to get off the plane.
