Why Fly with Druk Air

How to Check in

Druk Air does not yet support checking in online, so all passengers flying with the airline will need to do things the conventional way by checking in at the airport. On international flights, the airline advises passengers to arrive at least 2 hours before take-off, while those flying domestic routes are advised to arrive at least 1 hour before flights leave. However, for flights at Kathmandu and Delhi, passengers will need to arrive at the airport 3 hours before departure. You can also inform staff at the check-in counter if you have any preferred seating arrangements.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Passengers on international flights are permitted to bring baggage to check-in as part of the fare, although how much you are allowed depends on your cabin class. Those flying in Economy are entitled to bring 30kg of baggage, while in Business Class this is increased to 40kg. In addition to this, all passengers are allowed to bring one item of hand baggage on board flights no heavier than 5kg. Those with baggage that exceeds your allowance will need to pay excess fees.

Druk Air flights offer a regular Economy Class in addition to a premium Business Class for those looking for a superior flying experience. Economy seats are arranged in rows of three and offer ample legroom, while those flying in Business Class are seated in rows of two and can enjoy spacious legroom and comfortable seating.

On Board Service

Passengers on board Druk Air flights can tuck in to delicious meals as part of the fare in both Economy and Business Class. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are available, while those with any special dietary requirements or curious travelers wishing to sample authentic Bhutanese cuisine can get in touch with the airline to make arrangements at least 72 hours before boarding.
